Ramón
Labañino sends a message to the Cuban people
RAMON
Labañino, one of the five Cubans imprisoned by the
empire, has sent a message to the people of Holguín
in eastern Cuba, thanking the Cuban people once
again for the battle they are waging for his
release.
The
anti-terrorist fighter’s words were broadcast on
Radio Angulo of Holguín’s prime-time program
"De primera mano". Ramón — who is being
held in a U.S. prison — reaffirmed the steadfast
will of both himself and his four companions, all of
whom are victims of injustice.
The
message to the people of Holguín came during a
phone conversation Ramón had with his uncle, Ramón
Salazar, where he was told that a Free the Five
Committee has recently been formed in the
province’s radio station headquarters.
On
behalf of the Five, Ramón thanked the solidarity
committees in the United States, Europe and the rest
of the world for getting them out of the solitary
confinement arbitrarily imposed on them by the U.S.
prison authorities. (AIN)

DOESN’T it seem
strange that a case with so many ingredients for a film, a
best seller or a high-profile news item is unknown in the
United States?

What Were They Protecting Us
From?
In 1996 Noam Chomsky remarked
that "Cuba was the target of more international terrorism
than probably the rest of the world combined". The
following list published in the web site antiterroristas.cu is
just a part of the terrorism directed against Cuba over the
last 40 years.
