Wednesday 19-Dec-2001 12:00 AM Westlake Interactive is about to cast a spell over Mac owners, and it looks as though it'll be sooner than you think Westlake has neared the end of the conversion of EA's PC Harry Potter game to Mac, and all the signs are that it could launch in America before the Macworld expo in San Francisco on January 7, 2002.
No details are yet available on whether or not Europe will see the Mac version, but EA is not listing the title on its schedules currently. EA reps remained unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
The game is a direct port of the PC version, based on the Unreal Tournament engine. Following the events of JK Rowling's novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the game lets the player step into the shoes of the boy wizard, leg it around Hogwarts and generally do good in the battle with You-Know-Who.
