: : Can anyone tell me what is going on with FurryMUCK? I haven't been around for a while, so I don't know if it moved or something. Whenever I try to connect it doesn't work.

: ***

: FurryMUCK decided to change to a faster and better server, but, because of someone named Mavra and Argon, I got banished for life... Thanks a whole hell of a lot you two for showing me how much you care about me.

: The new FM address is:

: muck.furry.com
: 8888

: Hope this helps. I'm in the process of getting back into FM, and when I do, Mavra and Argon, don't come to me saying you want to be friends, you just took a five year friendship and just trashed it by being so paranoid like you two are... so fine, if you want to be friends, your going to have to come to me, me trying to go to you apparently never worked.

I'm pretty much a lurker on this board, and I usually don't comment on posts such as this, but in this case I will.

Mavra and I have been wanting to be left quietly alone, RL, but this request was refused several times. I won't mention names, but an account of mine on a muck had been hacked, and a vender I did business with on eBay was approached about releasing personal information concerning myself. In addition, unkind words towards both Mavra and
myself on the three mucks that we play on have been said.

Neither of us have tried to do anything to get anyone into trouble. We've politely asked for 'cease and desist' orders that had gone repeatedly ignored. Ignoring polite, then firm, then blunt statements that we do not wish to go any further than being associates on-line, led to an induvidual first being suspended then being 'thrown off' the mucks. After all of this, our wondering when our privacy again was going to be invaded doesn't give us much reason to want to
embrace this individual as a friend.

Anyway, I thought you all might like to hear statements on the other side, and draw your own conclusions. Unwanted intrusions into areas of our lives, and unorthodox methods of gaining information that has been politely refused, are bothersome and can be legally defined as stalking. We gave this person many opportunities to back off and remain friends on line. It was his own actions that led to banishment from the mucks.

I am sorry that our desires to remain anonymous could not be accepted. If things had been done differently, it might have turned out better.
