NOTE: St Peter's Church at Old Brampton should not be confused with St Thomas's Church at what is now known as New Brampton. St Thomas's was consecrated in 1832, and "stands on the Chatsworth road, about a mile west of the town of Chesterfield." [Ref: Samuel Lewis's Topographical Dictionary of England, 1848]
