Are you in the right place?
This page is part of a historical resources website - you will need to look elsewhere for information on present day matters, local businesses, &c. However if you want to contact me about shared family history research interests, or to offer me information relating to your own research, you will find the means to do so on this page. If you're looking for assistance with your research, I regret I cannot help you on a one-to-one basis but I do provide a site FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). If you're looking for something else, a person, place, or just lost - please try "Who? What? Where?" |
Derbyshire | Gloucestershire | Herefordshire |
Cumberland | Shropshire | Monmouthshire |
The areas and surnames which interest me the most are listed below:-
If you are seeking information, the bulk of my research data relating to these, and other surnames I'm researching is already available online, so check out Rosemary's Home Page, where you can search to your heart's content for information which may help you.. Be aware however that in order for this information to be useful, at very least you should be researching the same county, and in the case of common surnames such as (for instance) WARD, better still, the same, or nearby parish. The less specific your knowledge, the less likely I will be able to fill in any gaps - as the message tag line from FidoNet days goes:-
So if you are simply researching "somewhere in England" for a one of my surnames of interest then you would be better advised to use Family Search, as generally speaking - unless it's a very unusual surname - I won't be able to help you.
However if you think we may share an ancestor or two, I invite you to supply brief details on the form below:
THANK YOU!!!
I hope we will establish some mutual interests.
This is the format you would need to use if you were posting a message to a mailing list, and so instructions for how to do this are available on the RootsWeb site at:

No, don't suggest I install another email client... I know mine is "challenged", but I've become accustomed to it now, and my message archiving depends on it, so it would be a major upheaval for me, and I have much more exciting things to get on with!
