New Allowances Site Launched
The new website, at
http://aoprals.state.gov, provides quick and easy access to foreign per diem rates. You can also find other allowance rates, answers to many frequently asked questions, and much more.   

Temporary Travel Flexibility Within Western Hemisphere
Through September 30, 2007, U.S. citizens traveling to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda who have applied for but not yet received passports can temporarily enter and depart from the U.S. by air with a government-issued photo ID and Department of State official proof of application for a passport. more
