Diversity

The National Park Service is dedicated to diversity both internally, via workforce enhancement, and externally regarding
Diversity
efforts to increase representation of non-traditional audiences. As indicated by NPS Director, Mary A. Bomar, “Today's National Park Service aims to reflect the Nation's diversity – the face of America – in the staffing of every park and office. Our unwavering goal is to keep each park relevant to every segment of American society. This requires our constant attention.”

"The term "diversity" is used broadly to refer to many demographic variables, including, but not limited to, race, religion, color, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, education, geographic origin, and skill characteristics. America's diversity has given this country its unique strength, resilience, and richness."
