Secretary of Energy to Participate in Grand Opening of the District of Columbia's First E-85 Pump

WASHINGTON, DC – On Thursday, June 28, 2007, U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Samuel W. Bodman will participate in the grand opening celebration of the District of Columbia’s first E-85 fueling station.  Secretary Bodman is expected to highlight President Bush’s plan to increase the availability of renewable and alternative fuels to help reduce our dependence on foreign sources of oil.  E-85 is a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline.
