Tennis Teams Fail to Advance in NCAA Regionals
It was a disappointing end for the men's and women's tennis teams as they both lost in the first round of the NCAA Regionals. QC lost to Mercy 5-1 at Kutztown University on May 3. It was the final game for senior Wojciech Stuchlik and coach Alan Landes, who retires after 27 years of coaching with six NCAA bids and 342 wins.

Odds of a QC Football Team Aren't Great

Many students on campus have lamented the fact that Queens College has no football team. In fact, people have used that point when arguing that QC is not a quality school, and after Rutgers' magical season last year, some even blamed part of the apathy and lack of school spirit at the school on the absence of football.

It was a great day for the QC men's baseball team on Saturday, May 5, 2007. The Knights faced off with cellar-dweller Mercy College in a doubleheader. The sun was shining and so was their starting pitcher, Danny Weinman. In the Knights' 7-3 game one win, Weinman pitched eight innings, giving up only five hits and did not allow any earned runs.

Soccer Team Set to Kick Off Season in Fall
For the first time since the early '90s, there will be a Queens College varsity men's soccer team that everyone can root for when students return at the start of the fall semester. Athletics director Dr. Richard Wettan announced 14 months ago that men's soccer would be reinstated after a long 15-year absence along with six track teams.
