METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER CREATES NEW DIRECT TO VIDEO PRODUCTION BRANCH

Century City, CA February 5, 2007 -- Continuing to expand and capitalize on its broad catalog of film and television programming, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc announced today that it has created a new division dedicated to the development and production of direct to video product. Jason Weiss has been appointed Vice President of the new group and he will oversee an annual slate of twelve or more films. Weiss will report to Charlie Cohen, MGM's Senior Executive Vice President, Finance and Corporate Development. MGM's Chief Operating Office, Rick Sands made the announcement.

"As consumers around the globe continue to want to view films in both the cinema and as well as in their homes, the demand for quality direct to video productions will only increase. One of MGM's primary activities is to continually replenish as well as maximize revenues from its large catalog of film and television programming" said Sands. "Jason's breadth of experience coupled with his ability to develop projects based on marketplace and cultural trends, makes him a great addition to the MGM team."

Weiss has worked in feature film development and production for over twelve years and most recently was an executive at MTV Films, where he oversaw a slate of 25 projects including titles such as The Dirt, Black Hole, The Suffering, Runnin', Born to Rock and The Wheelman.

Prior to MTV Films, Weiss spent an extensive time as an executive overseeing production and development for Paramount Pictures and New Regency Productions. Throughout his career, Weiss has supervised a wide range of movies including Along Came a Spider, The Ladies Man, Don't Say a Word, The Runaway Jury, Just My Luck, and Daredevil. Weiss is also a producer on the upcoming New Regency Productions' The Onion Sketch Comedy Movie. Weiss started his career working for Scott Rudin.
