Freedom Sings™ performance photos, 2005-06 dates

Freedom Sings band in performance.

Performances of Freedom Sings™ combine narration, video, photographs and live music in a fast-paced, entertaining and inspirational celebration of the First Amendment and free expression.

The musical and multi-media performances feature narrators including Gene Policinski, First Amendment Center executive director, Diversity Institute Director Robbie Morganfield and Freedom Sings author Ken Paulson, with a cast of hit songwriters and award-winning singers and other musicians.

Shonka Dukureh, left, and Jonell Mosser collaborate on a ballad.

The video clips, graphics and storytelling portray the history of music censorship in the United States from the 18th century to today. Along the way, the Freedom Sings performance teaches about all five freedoms of the First Amendment — speech, press, religion, assembly and petition.

These photos were taken during various Freedom Sings performances in several locations.

Music Director Bill Lloyd.
