UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 announced

360 version of EA's latest footy effort to have collectable card feature and online trading
Electronic Arts has rolled out the first screens and details of its UEFA Champions League game - and the Xbox 360 is getting the best version of the lot.

The 360 version of UEFA Champions League 2006-2007, as it's known, is set to feature a plethora of player movement improvements and ball physics tweaks as well as introducing a "collectable virtual card system", which lets you build your own side in the Ultimate Team Mode.

The card system will apparently let you hand pick everything from team and staff members to strategies and stadiums by going online and trading cards with other players. The most interesting type of footy card however looks to be the 'gameplay cards', which can be activated during a match to boost the abilities of your players and team.

The PC, PS2 and PSP version meanwhile seems to be a more straight-forward footy experience, leading you from qualification right to the end of the prestigious tournament, as well as sporting UEFA Champions League Challenge mode, that will test players by recreating classic moments in UEFA history using modern teams.

UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 is out on March 23. Check out the PS2 screens on this here page.
