Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Xbox's greatest game ever shows its true potential on PS3
Remake might not be descriptive enough a word when it comes to Ninja Gaiden Sigma, the PlayStation 3 take on the classic Xbox action-adventure. We think 'total rebuild from the ground up to make it a million times better' might be a more accurate way of putting it, to be honest.

Because that's what Ninja Gaiden Sigma is. What you see here is what the game looks like in action. What were stunning, pre-rendered cut-sequences in the original are now fully interactive scenes in the PS3 game. Where hero Ryu Hayabusa once fought with a single sword, now he fights with two. And where the Xbox version only let you run across water, the PS3 game ramps things up by letting you physically fight while sprinting across the surface.

Although there's been no major change to the story - it's essentially the same plot and missions of the Xbox game - Ninja Gaiden Sigma also lets you take control of female protagonist Rachel. You'll be able to experience the whole thing from a different point of view, thereby doubling the amount of action on offer. And if that's not enough blisteringly fast, scrap-heavy action for you, Ninja Gaiden Sigma features all the bonus combat challenges that were made available on Xbox Live too.
