Little Miss UPS

  • Just to reiterate an earlier post I am now offering to purchase items from the UK to ship internationally for those of you that covet something Brit-tastic.  I can even buy stuff in-store in London depending on how specific you are with what you want.  Here's how it works:

    1) Pick/Choose what you want to buy - email me with the request.  I will check availability and work out shipping costs and tell you the grand total.

    2) You Paypal me the money first and then I will order/purchase the items requested.

    3) Once I receive the items, I will then ship to you straight away = happy days!

Here are some British-based sites that are iffy about shipping abroad:

Topshop Trio Triumph

Topshop, I wish I knew how to quit you.  I don't want to keep on extolling the virtues of Topshop to non-UK people, since international shipping has not yet started.  The fact that about 30 posts here mention that TS word really is a cause for concern.  Just as I was about to embark on a fairly Topshop-free season then, I go and find out designers Ann Sofie Back, Gareth Pugh and Richard Nicoll are ALL doing capsule collections for the Topshop boutique section which will be on sale this September.  I respect Topshop for broadening up the appeal of three very much up and coming designers and giving them that sort of exposure.  Furthermore, as I've mentioned before, Topshop's designer capsule collections are always very impressive and it really is fashion democracy that's well executed.  You almost always get the true essence of the designer distilled into more affordable pieces.  I hesitate to use the word cheap it's more mid-range than budget with a price range of £50-£150 but I always feel like it's money well spent.  From Sofie Back, I'm hoping for sexy minimalist pieces.  From Nicoll, tailoring with a twist.  And from Pugh - well judging by his debut collection, black dresses with mini sputniks and puffa jackets?

Aww Gareth Pugh as a person I actually quite like him , and he is an extremely interesting designer to choose for topshop , a bold move on their part I can't wait to see what he comes up with. x

aaaaargh!!! affordable nicoll!! oh student loan where art thou??

They'll never do this in the States.... fashion is all about money here, and I think there's a class conspiracy to keep design out of the hands of the non-affluent. Fashion always seemed much more close to the high street in England to me (or maybe it's just that the average Brit is so much more stylish...). I guess that's why in New York we have the anti-fashion crowds.

I don't know about that Beth, H&M;, Target and even Payless shoes have certainly made efforts to bring garments/shoes designed by top designers and they've been a pretty big hit.

I love Topshop too! And Im from Singapore. Topshop is huge around here.

Ann Sofie Back for Topshop? i think i need a sit down and a stiff cup of tea.

gareth is one of the nicest people i have ever met and i actually learned quite a lot from him (he taught out class for 2 weeks) i'd love too see what he does for topshop.
