The Culture is a do-anything bicycle. Clever design has brought together the best of mountain-bike technology and the practicality of a true city machine and the result is a machine you could happily ride all day on tour.
Full suspension means that cobbles, potholes and ruts are no longer an obstacle. The suspension elements can be changed to suit the weight of the rider, and the rear suspension has damping adjustable to taste. The rear swing-arm pivot is designed for rigidity, so the suspension wont affect the stiffness of the aluminium frame.
The frames spectacular V design is practical, too: the low step-through height makes getting on and off a breeze. There are two sizes: 48 or 55cm. The frame can be fitted with a full range of well-designed accessories, including rear carrier adapters for Ortlieb pannier bags or a childseat.
On the front can be mounted an adapter for KLICKfix baskets or front bags, and a D-lock mount can be fitted to the seat tube. Lighting and mudguards are standard.
The Culture comes in two models, Orange or Blue. The Orange uses Shimanos 24-gear Nexave groupset, offering a wide gearing range and all-weather roller-brakes. The Blue uses mid-range Shinano componentry, with V-brakes for excellent stopping power.
The Cultures sister model is the Avenue, equipped with the Shimano Nexus seven-speed system. Full suspension, a low step-through height and the integrated carrier make this a superb shopper and steed for the everyday.
Completing the range is the new Delite, a sporty hybrid. With light weight, full suspension and a frame-mounted carrier, its capable of full touring, and the very adjustable riding position make it comfortable. The suspension, with an oversize industrial pivot, is designed to minimise pedal-induced bounce. The Delite Yellow is the lightest (10.9kg), with aero rims and spokes, and high-pressure tyres.
The Delite Blue is a great general-purpose sportster, with affordable components. Its a delight to ride!
