Friends and Followers

You have friends on Twitter, and you have friends you follow. Following means you choose to receive a friend’s updates on your phone or IM as they send them. Overloaded with updates from your friends? You can leave them, too.

Choose to follow or leave a particular friend from the web, your phone, or IM at any time. On the phone or IM, you can send the following commands:

• FOLLOW USERNAME
• LEAVE USERNAME

USERNAME is your friends’ unique name on Twitter. Visit their profile page to discover what it is. As a shortcut, you may use F or L instead of follow and leave, respectively.
