THE HONORARY MEMBERS 1825:
The Following is taken from The Rules and Regulations of The Lonach Highland and Friendly Society, Printed in Aberdeen by D. Chalmers and Co, 24 Adelphi Court, 1825
Rule I. That the Society, the designation of which is to remain unalterable, shall consist of two classesof Members, "Honorary" amd "Ordinary". Rule II. That the Gentlemen of the District, and all others connected with or friendly thereto, shall be invited to become Honorary Members. Rule III. That all Donations, or Annual Subscriptions, offered by this class of Members, shall be thankfully received, and duly acknowledged. Rule IV. That the Patron of the Society be invited to accept of this honorary situation for life. Rule V. that the same offer be made to the Honorary President of the Society. Rule VI. That a certain number of Honorary Vice Presidents be chosen from this class of Members annually; care being taken that of those so chosen, there may be sufficient number resident in the country, to ensure the opportunity of one or more being present at the meetings of the Society. |
