The U.S. government will not seek the death penalty against one of eight servicemen charged with the shooting death of an Iraqi civilian in April, a military prosecutor said Wednesday. The suspects are accused of killing Hasham Ibrahim Awad, 52, a disabled veteran of Iraq's war with Iran in the 1980s.
