Reborn again? According to an article published by Cosmo Girl, Mariah Carey says she's recommitted her life to God on several occasions. "I do believe that I have been born again in a lot of ways," she said. "I think what I've changed are my priorities and my relationships with God." She says she's "learned that I'm not in charge. Whatever God wants to happen is what's going to happen. I feel like I've had endless second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth chances. It's by the grace of God I'm still here."
For the first time since Brian "Head" Welch left the group, Korn members spoke about their feelings regarding guitarist's conversion to Christianity. Lead singer Jonathan Davis told MTV.com Welch's departure was like having an arm cut off. Fellow guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer likened it to grieving the death of a brother. "I miss him being around, I miss his goofiness and all of the jokes," said Davis. "It's unfortunate that he got hooked up in some drugs and the things that went on, but the whole Christian thing, all that stuff, if it's keeping him alive and he's happy, bottom line, that's all we care about."
Teenage singer/songwriter Bethany Dillon walked the red carpet during the October 9 Hollywood premiere of Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story. The DreamWorks film, opening October 21, feature's Dillon's song "Dreamer" in the end credits. Dillon also generated national media attention last week with blurbs and appearances in such outlets as Time magazine and CNN.

Tween-pop and Disney mainstays Jump5 will release their final album for Sparrow Records on December 27. Titled Shining Star, the collection will consist of previously recorded remakes and cover songs, including such tracks as "Walking on Sunshine," "God Bless the U.S.A.," "Beauty and the Beast," "We Are a Family," "Friends," and "Celebration." The quartet has signed with a mainstream artist management company and is currently pursuing mainstream distribution opportunities.
