GMA Music Week in full swing; Third Day, Chevy partners again; St. James records live DVD; and more.

Over 3,000 peopleincluding artists, industry professionals, media, and those interested in gospel musichave descended upon Nashville for GMA Music Week 2006, currently underway. Described by the Gospel Music Association as the "premiere annual Christian music industry conference and showcase," the yearly weeklong event is jam-packed with seminars providing in-depth knowledge about the genre, exhibits, and artist showcases and concerts.
Atlanta quintet Third Day and automaker Chevrolet have expanded their four-year marketing partnership with the development of their brand-new "Can You Feel It?" campaign. The program is a collaborative effort that will provide potential buyers the opportunity to test-drive up to ten 2006 and 2007 Chevrolet models on a road course near concert venues during the band's spring leg of their Wherever You Are Tour.
Pop/rock chanteuse Rebecca St. James is gearing up for her first concert DVD, which she cut live last week during a March 31 performance in Florida. Caught on tape by director Eric Welsh, expect the audiovisual set to include a sampling of the best moments from her If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something Tour.
Hard rock act Kutless shot to the top of the sales charts with their latest release, Hearts of the Innocent, scanning over 21,881 units its first week out of the box. The figure placed the album at the No. 45 position of Billboard's Top 200 album chart and the No. 2 slot of the publication's Top Christian & Gospel Albums tally.
Tickets for the 4th Annual K-LOVE Friends & Family Cruise, set for Jan. 22-26, 2007, go on sale April 10. The cruise, organized by Premier Christian Cruises, will feature live appearances by Steven Curtis Chapman, Natalie Grant, David Crowder Band, Matthew West, Hawk Nelson, NewSong, Big Daddy Weave, SONICFLOOd, ZOEgirl, Salvador, Anthony Evans, The Afters, and Denver & the Mile High Orchestra, plus a host of speakers and comedians.
Canadian rap/rock outfit Thousand Foot Krutch is ready to headline the Art of Breaking Tour beginning April 22nd in Oklahoma City. Sponsored by Tooth & Nail's rock compilation X2006, the 20-city tour will also feature live performances from label mates Hawk Nelson, Falling Up and Run Kid Run.
