Synopsis: When King Edward imprisons an 11th-century Saxon Lord for refusing to marry a Norman woman, the Lord falls in love with the sheriff's daughter, Godiva. This classic, true-life fable of romance culminates, of course, in her infamous nude ride through town to prove her loyalty to the king (by the way, her long hair covers everything in this version).
