PathSpeed Information Management System

PathSpeed™ Information Management System (IMS) "How can I effectively manage the flow of data across my hospital enterprise?"

The PathSpeed™ Information Management System (IMS) is a sophisticated Sybase® relational database that manages the intricate flow of patient and exam information across your hospital enterprise. This powerful system ensures quick, reliable access to the data you need - whenever and wherever that may be.

  • Stores and manages patient demographics, exam information, diagnostic reports, physician and department information, and other ancillary data.
  • Manages the workflow of all background applications, including pre-fetching, historical exam retrieval, teleradiology gateways, archive controllers, camera servers, and image transfer servers.

Transparent, intelligent data management
Whether your enterprise is a small growing hospital or a multi-center facility that includes medical centers, clinics, and teaching institutions, the IMS intelligently and expertly manages even the most complex data:

  • Fully integrates your Radiology/Hospital Information Systems
  • Expertly manages the distributed image storage system
  • Creates and maintains user-specified patient folders, worklists, and preferences
  • Quickly tracks and pre-fetches historical exams and reports, based on site-specified criteria
  • Automatically maintains user and system preferences

Flexibility for the enterprise of any size
Several flexible database configurations allow you to choose a database option that fits perfectly with your facility's needs:

  • A powerful database proficiently tracks patient and exam data, and automatically updates user worklists. This is ideal for facilities that acquire and read fewer than 800 exams per day.
  • The high-performance database server provides a dedicated server that ensures scalability while maintaining performance. This option is for growing facilities that read and acquire between 800 and 2500 exams per day. A dedicated server ensures fast access to exams and data for high volume facilities.
  • The productivity-enhancing EView™ (Enterprise View) option for multi-center facilities provides seamless, simultaneous, on demand real-time access to all on- and offline images and reports throughout your institution. In real-time, radiologists, technologists, and other hospital staff can now access one universal worklist and share exams acquired at departments that are miles away - without ever leaving the building.
  • The fault tolerance database server offers a redundant database server that ensures maximum data security and redundancy. Two levels of fault tolerance - periodic replication, or real-time replication can maximize system uptime.
