Very Rude Quote of the Day

From the American Family Association's "BOYCOTT BOX," which lists it's ongoing boycotts, and the reasons for them: WALT DISNEY COMPANY, Chrm. Michael Eisner, 500 S. Buena Vista St., Burbank, CA 91521 818-560-1000. Reason: The world's largest family entertainment company has extended company insurance benefits to the live-in partners of homosexual employees, but not unmarried partners of heterosexual employees; allowed homosexual celebrations in its theme parks; produced highly objectionable films; allowed a convicted child molester to direct a Disney movie; published a book aimed at homosexuals; and promoted numerous other anti-family policies and activities. Which Disney movies could they be referring to? Probably some of these: The Jungle Fever Book The Aristosnatch Poke My Haunches The Little Sperm-maid Boy Story Snow Wipe and the Seven Corprophiliacs Dumblow Schlong of the South The Rescuers Go Down Under The Legend of Young Dick Slurpin' Poppin' Mary's Son of Fluffer Hans Brinker and the Perfectly Legal Dutch Prostitutes Babes in Toyland Darby O'Gill and the Little Pee-pee Slapping Booty Lady and the Pimp The Wand in the Widows Pleasure Island Alice in Lesbianland Goofy's Glider FantAsian Who Killed Robin's Cock? Who Rimmed Roger Rabbit? The Book of Poo In A Lad Lilo and Scat The Mighty Dykes The Lion's Thing The Abject-Minded Professor Booty and the Breast 20,000 Freaks Under the Sea Big Knobs and Bum Sticks SINderella Peter Pain Bobbin' Head The Fox and the Hound The Once-You-Go-Black Cauldron The Gay Mouse Detective The Humpcrack of Notre Dame The Sword in the Son

Will African-Americans break away from the pack thinking and reject immorality - because that's the reason the family's breaking apart--alcohol, drugs, infidelity. You have to reject that, and it doesn't seem - and I'm broadly speaking here, but a lot of African-Americans won't reject it. Bill O'Reilly, well-known ignorant gas bag and liar, who seems oblivious to the fact that drug and alcohol abuse among African-Americans is roughly half that of whites of similar economic status, and that there is no appreciable difference in the rates of infidelity between the two races.

A few random selections from The Notebooks of Leonardo Da Vinci translated by Jean Paul Richter [1883] Vol. II XXI. Letters. Personal Records. Dated Notes This writing distinctly about the kite seems to be my destiny, because among the first recollections of my infancy, it seemed to me that, as I was in my cradle, a kite came to me and opened my mouth with its tail, and struck me several times with its tail inside my lips. ___________________________________________________________________________ When I did well, as a boy you used to put me in prison. Now if I do it being grown up, you will do worse to me. ____________________________________________________________________________ Giuliano da Maria, physician, has a steward without hands. _____________________________________________________________________________ Have some ears of corn of large size sent from Florence. _____________________________________________________________________________ Give your master the instance of a captain who does not himself win the victory, but the soldiers do by his counsels; and so he still deserves the reward. _____________________________________________________________________________ Pulleys,--nails,--rope,--mercury,--cloth, Monday. _____________________________________________________________________________ Piece of tapestry,-pair of compasses,-- Tommaso's book,--the book of Giovanni Benci,--the box in the custom-house,--to cut the cloth,--the sword-belt,--to sole the boots, --a light hat,--the cane from the ruined houses,--the debt for the table linen, --swimming-belt,--a book of white paper for drawing,--charcoal.--How much is a florin .... a leather bodice.

What the interviewer on NPR said to Natalie Maines, of the Dixie Chicks: "Your father was a well-known pedal steel guitar player, wasn't he?" What I, at first, thought I heard the interviewer say: "Your father was a well-known pedophile guitar player, wasn't he?" What I nearly did: Run a stop sign.

"912" Number of studies about global warming randomly examined in a recent survey. "912" Number of those studies that concluded that global warming is real, and caused by humans. "40" Number of alleged "grass roots" organizations, actually established and funded by Exxon/Mobil, which exist solely to spread the notion that global warming is either not real, or not caused by humans. "50%" Percentage of articles about global warming in the mainstream press which, in the interest of being "fair," give equal weight to the misinformation being spread by these "grass roots" organizations. The World According To Donald Rumsfeld "I would not say that the future is necessarily less predictable than the past. I think the past was not predictable when it started." "We do know of certain knowledge that he [Osama Bin Laden] is either in Afghanistan, or in some other country, or dead." "Death has a tendency to encourage a depressing view of war." "Freedom's untidy, and free people are free to make mistakes and commit crimes and do bad things....stuff happens." I don't know what I said, but I know what I think, and, well, I assume it's what I said." "Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don't know we don't know." "If I said yes, that would then suggest that that might be the only place where it might be done which would not be accurate, necessarily accurate. It might also not be inaccurate, but I'm disinclined to mislead anyone." "There's another way to phrase that and that is that the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. It is basically saying the same thing in a different way. Simply because you do not have evidence that something does exist does not mean that you have evidence that it doesn't exist." "I don't know what the facts are but somebody's certainly going to sit down with him and find out what he knows that they may not know, and make sure he knows what they know that he may not know." "I'm not into this detail stuff. I'm more concepty."

Quote of the Day

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. Luke 14: 12-14, King James Version
