1402 - 1410 Sultan Sulaiman Shalabi Khan, as-Sultan ul-Azam, Sayyid us-Saladin ul-Arab wal Ajam, Malik ur-Rikaab ul-Umam, Ghiyas ud-Daula wa ud-Dunya, Sultan ul-Islam was ul-Muslimin, as-Sultan ibni us-Sultan, Hasib-i-Nasib-I-Zaman, Amir of Rumelia. b. at Bursa, 1375, educ. privately. Became Vali Ahad (Crown Prince) 20th June 1389. Governor of Sarihan 1396-1402. Appointed as ruler of Rumelia by Tamerlane, 28th July 1402. Deposed 18th May 1410. m. (firstly) 1396, a daughter of George II Strasimir, Prince of Arnavudluk in Serbia. m. (secondly) October 1402, a daughter of John Theodore Paleologus, by his wife, the daughter of Nerio I Acciajuoli. He was k. 17th February 1411, having had issue, two sons and one daughter:
 
1410 - 1413 Sultan Musa Shalabi Khan, Salah ud-Dunya va ud-din. b. 1388, educ. privately. Governor of Bursa 1403-1404. Proclaimed as Sultan at Adrianople in succession to his elder brother, 18th May 1410. m. 1407, … (d. 1408), a daughter of Mircea the Great, Prince of Wallachia. Contested the succession but was defeated and k. by his brother Muhammad, at the battle of Camurlu, Serbia, 5th July 1413.
 
1403 -1413 The Great Interregnum, when the Empire was divided and disputed between the sons of Bayezid Khan I.
 
1413 -  1421 Sultan Muhammad Khan I Ghazi, 5th Sovereign of the House of Osman, Kirishchi Ghiyas ud-din, Khan of Khans, Grand Sultan of Anatolia and Rumelia, and of the Cities of Adrianople and Philippolis. b. at Adrianople, 1382, educ. privately. Appointed as Sultan of Amasya by Tamerlane, 1403. Defeated his brother Isa and seized Bursa in 1404. Defeated his other brother Musa at the battle of Camurlu, in Serbia, in 1413 and declared himself Supreme Sultan in both Anatolia and Rumelia. Thus bringing an end to the Great Interregnum. m. (firstly) Shahzadi Kumru Khanum, daughter of Sadgeldi Ahmad Pasha, of Amasya. (secondly) 1403, Amina Khanum (b. 1389; d. 1419), daughter of Nasir ud-din Muhammad Bey, Amir of Dulkadir. m. He d. at Adrianople, 4th May 1421 (bur. Yeshil Turbe, Bursa), having had issue, eight sons and ten daughters:
 
1421 - 1451 Sultan Murad Khan II Khoja-Ghazi, 6th Sovereign of the House of Osman, 'Abu'l Hayrat, Sultan ul-Mujahidin, Khan of Khans, Grand Sultan of Anatolia and Rumelia, and of the Cities of Adrianople and Philippolis. b. at Amasya, June 1404, educ. privately. Governor of Amasya 1417-1421, and of Manisa 1444-1445. Became Vali Ahad (Crown Prince) 5th July 1413. Succeeded on the death of his father, 4th May 1421. Deposed August 1444, restored January 1445, deposed again 12th December 1445, restored again 5th May 1446. m. (firstly) 1421, 'Alima Khanum, of Dulkadir. m. (secondly) a daughter of Damad Karaja Pasha. m. (thirdly), Yeni Khanum, daughter of Mahmud Shah Bey, of Amasya. m. (fourthly), Huma Khanum (d. at Bursa, September 1449), daughter of 'Abdu'llah and a relative of George Balsha, Prince of Zeta (Montenegro). m. (fifthly), at Adrianople, 1423, Taj un-nisa Khadija Halima Khanum, daughter of Amir Damad Taj ud-din Ibrahim II Bey, Amir of Candar. m. (sixthly), at Adrianople, 4th September 1435, Princess Mara alias Maryam Khanum (b. 1425; d.s.p. 14th September 1487), daughter of George Brankovitch, Despot of Serbia, by his wife, Princess Irene, daughter of Mathias Comnenus. m. (seventhly), Hundi Khanum (d. 14th February 1486), wet nurse to Sultan Muhammad II. He d. from apoplexy, at Adrianople, 3rd February 1451 (bur. near the Muradiya Mosque, Bursa), having had issue, six sons, and two daughters:
 
1451 - 1481 Sultan Muhammad Khan II Fatih Ghazi 'Abu'l Fath, 7th Sovereign of the House of Osman, Kaysar-i-Rum (=Emperor of Rome), Khan of Khans, Grand Sultan of Anatolia and Rumelia, Emperor of the three Cities of Constantinople, Adrianople and Bursa, Lord of the two lands and the two seas. b. at the Adrianople Palace, 30th March 1432, educ. at Magnesia. Became Vali Ahad (Heir Apparent) June 1443. Succeeded on the deposition of his father, August 1444, deposed January 1445, restored 12th December 1445, deposed again 5th May 1446. Succeeded on the death of his father, 3rd February 1451. Girded with the sword at the Great Mosque at Eyub, 18th February 1451. Conquered Constantinople 29th May 1453 and assumed the title of Padshah (Emperor). Added mainland Greece, the Morea, Trebizond, Albania, Caffa, the Tartar lands and the plain of Kyptsak, Circasia, Kabarda, and Moldavia to his Empire. m. (firstly) at Manisa, 1446, Amina Gul-Bahar Khanum (b. 1434; d. 1492), Valide Sultana from 3rd May 1481, daughter of 'Abdu'llah Arnavud. m. (secondly) at Manisa, 1451, Gul-Shah Khanum (b. 1433: d. 1487), daughter of Ibrahim Bey, of Karaman. m. (thirdly) at Adrianople, 15th December 1449, Sitti Mukarima Khanum (b. 1453: d. at Adrianople, September 1486), daughter of Sulaiman Bey, Amir of Dulkadir. m. (sixthly) 1458, Shishak Khanum (b. 1443: d. at Cairo, May 1498), daughter of an Anatolian Bey of Turkoman origin, possibly Kardeshi 'Ali Bey. m. (seventhly) December 1458, Princess Helen Khanum (b. April 1442; d. 1470), daughter of Demetrios Paleologus, Despot of the Morea. m. (eighthly) 1461, Princess Anna Khanum, daughter of Emperor David Comnenus, Emperor of Trabizond, by his wife, Empress Irene née Cantacuzenu. m. (ninthly) November 1463, Princess Alexia Khanum, daughter of Emperor David Comnenus, Emperor of Trabizond. m. (tenthly) 1471, a daughter of Muhammad bin Ibrahim Bey, of Karaman. He d. at his headquarters at Huncarcayiri near Maltepe, Constantinople (poisoned by a Venetian agent), 3rd May 1481 (bur. the Mosque of the Conquerer, Istanbul), having had issue, four sons and one daughter:
