GE RadWorks Review 5.0 is a medium medical viewing application. It has been designed to be used as a basic front-end workstation for referring physicians, or as the second viewing station in a radiology department. Applications are widespread: radiology, pathology, ultrasound, medical photography, endoscopy, nuclear medicine. Each department can use the same system; a big advantage is consistency of user interfaces throughout the hospital.
Intuitive User Interface
GE RadWorks Review 5.0 has an easy to learn user interface. It can run on standard PCs that also support other Windows™ applications. Hanging Protocols allow the user to configure it completely to his or her wishes, and the software allows multiple users on the same system, each with their own tailored layout. GE RadWorks accepts color and monochrome images and can display them simultaneously on one screen. The GE RadWorks Review software is DICOM 3.0 compliant and CE marked.
Optimized Softcopy Reading
GE RadWorks Review 5.0 has built-in tools to work more effectively. Examples are the Hanging Protocols, linking synchronized cines of MR and CT images; ROI tool for fast W/L settings; Worklist-aware functionality, and report integration. Its DICOM connectivity makes it the first choice for connecting, viewing and transmitting images from multiple modalities into an integrated PACS environment.
Upgrade Path
GE RadWorks Review can grow with your needs towards a high-end workstation. Some of the optional modules are the Maximum Intensity Projection and Multi-Planar Reformatting for CT and MR images; the Report Create module, to integrate your reporting system (including front ends such as IBM Medspeak™, Microsoft Word™) with a RIS; and Quality Control, to assure that patient data is consistent throughout the hospital.
Integration of RIS systems
One of the most critical elements in a PACS environment is the integration of information from RIS systems. GE RadWorks has many alternatives for managing information flow, and improving access to patient records. Using the Report Create Module, reports can be generated using in various programs, like Microsoft Word™ or IBM Medspeak™ . Integration using HTML browsers is also supported, making the workstation highly versatile.
