Mid-Field Open MRI System
The Signa Ovation is the newest addition to GE Medical Systems’ open MRI family. The mid-field permanent magnet has a field strength of
0.35 Tesla.
The Ovation features a generous post-to-post gap of 140 cm. The system is designed with patient comfort in mind. Ovation's open architecture allows patients to see more of the scan room, putting the most claustrophobic patients at ease.
Because Ovation is a permanent magnet, cryogen refills are not necessary which results in a lower operating cost. Yet, because of the superior design and higher field strength, the system delivers quality images with reduced scan times.
The Signa Ovation was designed using GE Medical Systems’ Six Sigma methodology. Under Six Sigma, statistical rigor is applied to ensure that Signa products conform to the highest customer demands, in quality and in performance, often leading to major breakthroughs in the industry.
