Welcome to "Ask the White House". This online interactive forum, the first of its kind in politics, allows you to interact with Bush administration officials and friends of the White House.
Launched in April 2003, citizens have participated in over 200 online discussions with Cabinet Secretaries, Senior White House Officials, behind-the-scenes professionals at the White House, and others.
Transcripts of every live chat session are available on this page. If you would like to suggest a participant to appear on Ask the White House, click here.

Hello, everyone! Thanks for participating in Ask the White House today. I always enjoy these e-conversations, but I know that this week isnt the most enjoyable time of year for taxpayers. Americans dont like Tax Day, and they dont like it even more when taxes are too high. I think thats normal, its part of our national character. The good news is that Tax Day hasnt been quite as gloomy since the Presidents tax relief took effect. Lower taxes have meant more bearable Tax Days. I hope we can talk about that a little later today; for now, lets get started.
