Moving to other projects

The following templates should be placed atop articles.

Tag Text that will be shown (and usage notes)
{{Move to Wiktionary}}

(category)

This page is a candidate to be copied to Wiktionary using the Transwiki process.
The information in this article appears to be more suited for a dictionary rather than an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a dictionary, but Wiktionary is. Please verify that this article meets the Wiktionary criteria for inclusion. If this article can be modified to be more than a dictionary entry, please do so and remove this message.

{{Move to Wikiquote}}

(category)

{{Move to Wikisource}}

(category)

This page is a candidate to be copied to Wikisource.
If the page can be edited into an encyclopedic article, rather than merely a copy of the source text, please do so and remove this message. Otherwise, you can help by formatting it per the Wikisource guidelines in preparation for the move.

{{Move to Wikibooks}}

(category)

This page is a candidate to be copied to Wikibooks.
If the page can be re-written into an encyclopedic article, please do so and remove this message.

Before you move this content to Wikibooks, verify that it conforms to Wikibooks policies of acceptable content at What is Wikibooks?. Often content unacceptable to Wikipedia may not be acceptable on Wikibooks as well.

You should also follow Transwiki guidelines when transfering content and move the article into the transwiki namespace on Wikibooks, entering a log entry at wikibooks:Wikibooks:Transwiki log to let the people at Wikibooks know that you have new content on Wikibooks. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the content transfered to Wikibooks to simply be deleted as vandalism and spam.

{{Move to Wikibooks Cookbook}}

(category)

This page is a candidate to be copied to the Wikibooks Cookbook.
If the page can be edited into an encyclopedic article, rather than simply a recipe, please do so and remove this message. Otherwise, you can help by formatting it per the Wikibooks guidelines in preparation for the move.

{{Move to Wikimedia Commons}}

(category)

This page is a candidate to be moved to the Wikimedia Commons.
Wikipedia is not a collection of photographs or media files with no text to go with the articles. If you are interested in presenting a picture, please provide an encyclopedic context. You may also want to consider changing this page's title to better suit an encyclopedia entry.

{{NowCommons|SAMPLE NAME}}

(category)

This picture/multimedia file is now available on Wikimedia Commons as SAMPLE NAME.
Note: if the file on the Commons has the same name use {{NowCommonsThis}} or {{NCT}}

Stubs

See Wikipedia:Stub.

Unlike cleanup tags, stub tags should be added at the bottom of the article.

It is possible to use {{stub}}, but if you have time to find the correct topical stub tag instead, please do so.

Topical stub tags are listed on Wikipedia:Template messages/Stubs and shown in the stub categories.

  • This should be used for articles that still have translation issues, but have enough English-language content that they are not subject to deletion for that reason.
{{RoughTranslation|LANGUAGE}}

(category)

This article is a rough translation of an article in LANGUAGE.
It may have been generated by a computer or by a translator with limited proficiency in English or the original language. Feel free to enhance the translation. For reference, the original article may appear under "LANGUAGE" in the "other languages" list.
