We Hightail It to Hawaii to Get the Season-Ending Skinny Straight from the Island Dwellers
by Kristin Veitch | May 18, 2005 UPDATED! MAY 24: Before you read any further, I must tell you that we just added Matthew Fox (Jack) and Terry O'Quinn (Locke) to this feature. Eat your ever-Lostin' heart out. Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming... No one is allowed on set. Everyone said it. The publicists. The producers. The dog groomer. But every time they did, I had only one thought: I'm not going to let some silly little suggestion keep me from visiting Lost, the best show on television. See, the thing is, when you reach a certain level of appreciation--oh, who am I kidding, obsession--your mind plays tricks on you. Which is why I soon found myself on a plane to Honolulu, Hawaii, carrying camouflage pants, night-vision goggles, a list of the Lost stars' favorite hangouts and the following mantra: It's not stalking, it's just a friendly little game of hide-and-seek. If you watch Lost, you, too, share the obsession. For we fans know there has never been, nor will there be, anything quite like it. With its stunning plot twists, flawless writing and talented (not to mention shag-worthy) cast, this show has become, for its fans, like crack dipped in chocolate. Delicious. Inescapable. All-consuming. Crazy-making. That said, although it may get me arrested, I'm spilling all the pertinent details of my Hawaiian manhunt with you, my dear tubers, for you are the only ones who understand my mania. Welcome to Operation: Honolulu Hunt. Thanks to a few well-placed sources and the aforementioned camo, I did manage to rendezvous with some of your favorite castaways in various locations around the anything but deserted island of Oahu and beyond. And I'm bringing you eight dossiers full of the nitty-gritty details--interrogations, video surveillance and highly classified intel on six of my favorite castmembers, plus two sources who are so inside, so trustworthy, so in the know they actually run the show. This is all part of E!'s exclusive Lost Week, leading up to what promises to be the best two hours of TV this season--Lost's season finale on Wed., May 25. I'll be powwowing with your favorite Lost lovelies in special appearances on E! News every weeknight at 7. And just remember, if anyone asks, I was never there.
