Citizens of Bern vote no on 2010 September 2002 Voters in Bern Switzerland have voted a resounding no on the question of sharing the costs for bidding for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The Bernese voters were asked to vote on nearly 18 million dollars of funding for a stadium and other preparations for the games. 78 percent of the voters said no. Based on the decision, the Berne organizing committee will almost certainly drop the bid.
