The first ever Winter Gravity Games were held in Mammoth Mountain, California, January 20-23, 2000.

The games were then proposed to be held several times in the ensuing years, but never held. 

OLN bought the rights to the games from NBC in 2004 and held games in Copper Mountain Colorado in 2005. 

OLN has announced it will not be holding the 2006 Winter Gravity Games as the winter games schedule is already full for 2006.

Citing a winter Games schedule that is "already too full" OLN has decided not to go through with the 2006 Winter Gravity Games.

OLN purchased the rights to the games in 2004 and revived the winter games in 2005. They had previously only been held in 2000.
