This site explores the unique idea of what it would take to become a real life superhero. It is generally agreed one would needs superior fighting skills, a protective costume, gymnastic/acrobatic skills and some police type equpment to even consider such a lifestyle. Internal links: The kevlar undersuit: Note: The undersuit is primarly used to help prevent small abrasions and, insulate against cold, heat and even will provide slight insulation against electrical shock. A real store bought kevlar vest is advised for bulletproof armor. If you plan on making a homemade bulletproof suit a MINUMUM amount of kevlar layers would be 20. Often there are 24 to 28 layers of kevlar in a bulletproof vest. Also be careful to note that not all kevlar fibers are ballistic fibers. IE: Some kevlar fibers are no better to use for bulletproofing than cotton.
