WFMU will be featured on New York Noise -- the NYC-area local access cable video show. In addition to an hour's worth of cool videos, there'll be footage shot at the Record Fair, and cameos by a number of WFMU DJs. The WFMU feature will air on NYC cable channel 25 on November 29th at 10 PM, December 2nd at 9 PM, and December 4th at 10 PM. More info on New York Noise can be found here.
Japanese psych power trio Up-Tight performed last Monday on The Janitor From Mars and if you missed it, you can dig into their spaced-out jams a la Les Rallizes Denudes and Velvet Underground right now in either Real Audio or MP3. If you're a fan of major guitar freakouts and feedback, your ship just pulled in!
Station Manager Ken gave a State of the Station talk on November 16th, his first on-air update for listeners in eight months. If you missed it, you can hear it as a streaming realaudio file here, or as a streaming MP3 file here. And if you want to download the MP3 of the talk, right-click and "save target as" here. In the update, Ken discusses WFMU's latest technical projects, finances and programming matters.
WFMU is podcasting twelve programs, meaning that the MP3 archives of these shows can be delivered to your computer and/or MP3 player automatically every week. Besides adding one newcomer, The Dusty Show to our podcasting roster, we've also starting podcasting the old episodes of The Audio Kitchen again. You can get the lowdown on WFMU podcasts, including instructions on how to get it all working, at the WFMU Podcast Central page.
WFMU's Most Recent Archives page now contains a link for each show's most recent playlist, besides the most recent Realaudio and MP3 archives for each program. The bottom of the Most Recent Archives page also has these links for the last week's fill-in programs.
