Kelly, Grace

(1928-82), film actress and princess of Monaco. Kelly rose to fame as a movie actress, winning an Academy Award for her role in The Country Girl in 1954. Other films include High Society (1956) and the Hitchcock classics Rear Window (1954) and Dial M for Murder (1954). Kelly retired from films upon her 1956 marriage to Prince Rainier III of Monaco. She died in an automobile accident near Monaco.
