George Michael: The E! True Hollywood Story
In the early '80s, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley woke up the pop scene with their hugely successful band Wham! Teenage fans loved the upbeat duo's peppy music, making them one of the bestselling acts of their time. But the group came apart in the mid-'80s, as George Michael left for a solo career.
Though he had great initial success on his own with his mega-successful 1987 album Faith, George Michael's career had all but stalled by the '90s. As well, he'd been dogged by rumors about his sexuality for years. But the careless whispers about his sex life became tabloid fodder in 1998, when he was arrested for attempting to solicit sex in a public restroom from an undercover cop.
Think you know the whole story? Hardly. This installment of the E! True Hollywood Story takes you inside the life of pop sensation George Michael, with stories from the people who know him best.
