Sex, Scandal and Ratings: For a While, There Was No Place Like Home It took a polygraph test for Jerry to admit on an episode of Seinfeld that he watched Melrose Place. The show was awful, it was fluffy, and it was ridiculous. But, yes, we watched it. We all watched it. Millions of people tuned in every week to watch what troubles hunky Jake, bitchy Amanda, evil Mancini, stupid Billy, boring Jo, sexless Matt, clueless Jane, pushover Allison and crazy Kimberly would get into. And don't get us started on Sydney! Okay, do get us started. This steamy E! True Hollywood Story gets into all of it. If you had neighbors like this, you'd probably move. Or would you? There was plenty of eye candy to go around for men and women alike, and each week, someone inevitably ended up in bed with someone they shouldn't have--stabbing three other people in the back at the same time, no doubt. The show was the definitive guilty pleasure. But the same crazy plot twists that kept fans glued to their sets ultimately caused the show to unravel. The weirder the plotlines, the more the writers upped the ante, until audiences had enough. As E! discovers, there was almost as much romance going on offscreen. Tune in to see just how low and dirty the characters got--and just how high and tight those miniskirts got. But first, check out a few facts about L.A.'s sexiest address.
