She's one of the most recognizable faces in the world, an A-list actress who's also a top-selling pop star, paparazzi magnet and clothing designer. She's ranked as high as fifth on Forbes magazine's list of the 100 top celebrities.
Not bad for a former Fly Girl from the Bronx, right?
Of course, not everything is wine and roses for the woman known as J.Lo, as you'll see in Jennifer Lopez: The E! True Hollywood Story. From a string of short-lived marriages to having her every move scrutinized by the media, life for Lopez isn't always as simple as it was when she was just Jenny from the block.
With chart-topping albums, box-office successes and high-profile relationships, Lopez is unquestionably a star. But that often means that her missteps (Gigli, anyone?) are only magnified.
We doubt, however, that she'd complain. It's not every girl from the Bronx who gets to make movies with the likes of George Clooney and Ralph Fiennes or walk the red carpet in fabulous designer clothes, some apparently held on by magic.
For Jennifer Lopez, though, that might just be a day's work--and few would deny that she's worked hard to reach the heights she's attained today.
