just when you thought it was safe ((2005-02-07 - 11:10 a.m.)) It's Monday and I am so damned tired it's not even funny. How the hell can I get through a whole weekend and not get some "rest" and "relaxation" time even for a second? Let's just hope that Gale cuts out early so I really can rest myself for a little bit. So, the weekend was... eventful? It was all about seeing people and catching up with them. I saw my mom, Lis, and Eric's best friend and his wife who came up to help with bathroom gutting and renovations. Despite my bitching last week about the guy's wife, I'm proud to say that I don't think she's half bad any more. I mean, she had a few "moments" but I think everyone is entitled to some of those and they really weren't ALL that bad. And for the sake of me being nicer and less judgmental from now on, I'll stop with the analyzation there. Because I'm not trying to convince myself to hate her again. Friday night I met up with my mom and we had dinner together and talked. After that I went on a bit of a shopping spree at Wal-mart. Some of the purchases included:
Honestly... the most exciting thing to me was getting the Korean Barbie. Seriously, folks, I was a big Barbie fanatic when I was little. And my mom used to search high and low for an "Asian" Barbie that actually did look Asian and wasn't just the "white" Barbie with Asian -esque clothing on. But in all the years since I was into Barbie and then when I grew out of it, there has never been a Korean Barbie. But on Friday night when I was weaving through the aisles of my local Wal-mart, lo and behold - there it was! So... I got one for myself. And I plan on keeping it in it's box and displaying it. And I also might go back and get another one for the little girl that I might have some day so that she doesn't feel like Barbies only come in one color. *sigh* That discovery just about made my whole damned weekend!!!! Oh. MY. GAWD!!! Say it ain't so. I just got off the phone with Eric and he just told me some really shitty news. Remember how I said that his friend's wife wasn't half bad and that I might even like her now? Yeah... well, that's not lasting long. Apparently, Punch (Eric's buddy) came to Eric and was like, "Hey, I hope you don't mind but the wife and I are going to Alaska together within the next year." Ok... WHAT?!!!!! This wouldn't even be an issue except for the fact that this Alaska trip was something that Eric and Punch and Patty have been dreaming for and hoping for since their years in college together. And recently when they finally had the means to make it happen that bitch ass wife told them no way and it would never happen as long as she had anything to do with it. But now? SHE is going and with Punch. Talk about saying fuck you right back. I'm sorry. But after this? I really can't like her. And I can't give her the benefit of the doubt and let shit that she does lie. I can't! Because what she has done to their friendship is just about the shittiest thing I have ever heard of anyone doing to any person ever. Wow. I just can't even believe that a person that insensitive and self-centered can exist. Wow.
