watched miss universe tonite...miss australia was very cutesy...actually reminded me of this girl in our class...did not think miss puerto rico was pretty enuf to be in the top 5...miss india should have been in the top 5 cuz i thought she was really pretty...also thought miss ecuador wasn't that pretty but she was in the top 10...must have been cuz the show was held in ecuador...kinda like how miss korea was the 1st or 2nd runner up in 1988...only cuz of seoul olympic...miss usa reminded me of a barbie doll...hmm...who else can i comment on...miss paraguay was also very pretty...except for her jaw that was sticking out...like she has an underbite or something...ok...now for short interview questions...why r some girls so silly...i mean i guess if i were up there i'd blank out too and give retarded answers...but seriously...one of the girls was asked what was one mistake she made and what she learned from it...and she said, that her mistake was she fell and hit her head and she learned to walk better for the pageant...oh my god...what the hell...what other stupid answers did they give...oh, miss usa...what was the greatest accomplishment women today have made in our society? she answered taking care of family or some bullshit like that...what the hell!?!?!? hello??? how about achieving equality or holding positions of power and etc?!?!?!! talk about enforcing the old ideal of women being homemakers...not that there is anything wrong with being a homemaker but come on! that is our accomplishment?!?!!? aiyo...*shakes head in shame*...

first day of summer preceptorship! it was really fun! sorta slow in the early morn but it picked up especially in the afternoon...i really liked it...all the doctors and the staff were super nice! the other students that started last week got to do a home visit last fri and got to do anb annual exam on these patients, including rectal exam and hernia exam...*shudder*...but i actually hope i get a chance to do it during my preceptorship cuz we r gonna have to do it next yr and i'd rather get an early exposure...excited about tomorrow...u ask why? cuz we have drug reps coming...and guess what that means...free lunch! heh heh heh...didn't i mention i'm a lil pig? hee hee hee...

back at my apt again....so recap on the 1st week of vacation...went home, ate, slept, worked at my parent's store, slept, ate, played zuma, watched korean videos, slept, ate, etc...on sat, i went to visit cammy and we went to see shrek 2...that movie was hilarious! and omg!!!! i looooooved puss in boots!!!! then we took some silly pics in a photobooth...i looked like a retard in a few of those pics....hahaha...i was gonna scan them and put them on my blog but my bro got a new scanner and i couldn't find the cd to dl the program...so then i tried to dl it off of the internet but for some reason that didn't work...argh...ah well...on sunday my family and i went to loehmann's to go shopping...didn't realize they were having a massive sale there...20% off and an add'l 15% of clearance items!!! oooh i love to shop! heh heh heh...btw, every time i go there that place is full of koreans...crazy koreans...

why r koreans so freaking cheap! well, i guess stinginess isn't bound by ethnicity/nationality since i've met a few cheap people that r not korean, esp when working at my parents store...anyway, this post is regarding koreans...well specifially the ones that take advantage of the us govt...so at my parents' church there is this korean woman whose mother came to the states recently...and she was telling everyone at church how her mother is getting food stamps...and my mom said to her, oh it's for the truly needy, u guys r well to do...why do u guys have her receive food stamps? and the wench apparently was yelling at my mom and was basically like, so what? wtf?!?!? f-ing cheapskate! which also reminds me my mom's acquaitance from korea a long time ago was also pretty well off and had her kids receive food stamps of some sort at school...i think my mom also said something to her...anyway, why r there so many moochers out there!!! jesus! and they get mad at u when u tell them that it's wrong!
on another note, i've been playing zuma since school got out...i'm on 9-7...my goal for the summer is to beat this damn game...

how weird...nate just called me and asked me if some korean girl called me a few days ago late at nite...i'm like, huh?? what r u talking about? and he said his friend was using his phone and thought that i was grace that she knew and was talking to be...funny thing is i have no recollection of getting any phone calls from a stranger!!! but the phone says that i did get a call that nite! hahaha...i must have been pretty damn tired! i wonder what i sounded like to that girl...cuz i know i'm delirious when i'm half asleep, according to cammy and liz...hahaha...

i'm done with my first year of med school! yippee!!! maaaan, this year went by sooo fast...actually first semester went by sorta slow...but 2nd semester seriously went by in the blink of an eye...today was rather anti-climactic tho...like it didn't feel like i was done...nevertheless, i'm glad this yr is done and over with...it's been one crazy year...and next yr is gonna be even scarier cuz of the boards...
btw, went to see troy....omg, brad pitt is sooo hot!!!! and i got to see a LOT of him in the movie...hahaha! wasn't expecting that at all...eric bana is also cute...but brad will always be my #1 man....anyhoo, quite disappointed with orlando bloom...he was quite a wimp in this movie...oh, there r some recurring scenes of orlando near the end that will remind u of lord of the rings...hee hee hee...i think i would have liked the movie a lot more if it had a happy eneding...i wanted achilles to end up with the girl he loves...*sob*...
gosh, golly...what should i do tonite...hmm...well, i'll tell u that i will NOT be studying or reading!
