As the NHL owners and players were thrashing one another during last year's lockout, I was pretty much glued to Eklund's Hockey Rumor blog (which has since become hockeybuzz.com). The site really hit its stride during the free agent bonanza after the lockout ended and, though it still has its charm, I've found an entirely new site for my hockey fix. That's because Elisha Cuthbert has a hockey blog. Now, go back and read that sentence again. I'll be here when you get back.
Yep, it seems like the former star of 24 is a big puck fan and writes a blog on her favorite sport over at NHL.com, one that she updates pretty frequently, at that. I was initially skeptical when I heard about this but, after reading it, it's obvious she loves the sport and knows far more than your casual fan (male or female). However, the NHL has GOT to do a better job of pimping Cuthbert's appearance. If you go to the main NHL blog central page, Cuthbert is buried amidst journals by the likes of Risto Pakarinen and Darren Eliot. Sure those guys probably know their stuff, but who cares? Have you seen Elisha Cuthbert? If I'm the NHL, and I'm digging my way out of the public perception nightmare that was 2004/2005, I put her at the top of every page, box score, broadcast, and interview released this year.
By the by, the best reason for making this post? Getting to Google image search for pictures of Elisha Cuthbert, many of which were a bit too saucy to post here. Here's one that wasn't though:
How can this sport fail when she's on its side?
