Release Notes
Potential RADEON 9200 display corruption
This HotFix updates the RADEON 9200 Mac Edition ROM that ships with the retail card.

The issue being resolved is one of possible memory corruption on some 9200 cards. This may be seen as corruption in the form of green or other colored pixels appearing to the left of windows on the finder or randomly through-out a 3D scene. The issue was not reproducible in exactly the same way for everyone. Some people saw it after every wake from sleep, others would see it after their machines had been on for approximately 20 minutes.

Hardware/Software Requirements
Supported ATI Graphics Cards (this release only)
Mac OS X Installer
  • RADEON 9200 Mac Edition

The software set contains a ROM update for the above retail product. It is safe to use both a retail product along with an existing built-in product with this single driver set. Please follow the recommended installation procedures to ensure that you do not lose any Apple-specific files.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.1.5 or newer and Mac OS 9
  • 128MB of System Memory (RAM)

Double-Click the installer icon and follow the on-screen instructions.

The ATI ROM Installer contains the following items:

Mac OS X and Mac OS 9:

Radeon 9200 Mac Edition Rom version 124 (113-A27502-124)

NOTE: Do not remove your previously installed ATI files. This installer will overwrite any files that need to be updated. If you remove your existing ATI files, your older ATI product may no longer function as expected.

You must restart your computer after installation is complete.
