Assistant |
Position Description: | The Festival Assistant provides
general assistance to
festival organizers and gallery owners during the day of the event(s).
This position requires light to moderate lifting, basic ushering
services (i.e., handing out program guides and providing general
directions and activity locations), and ticket handling (as needed)
--including Will Call and ticket purchases. By volunteering, you gain free admission to ALL festival screenings. Screening dates are the last Saturday of the month until July:
Position may require light lifting (chairs, trays, etc.), if needed. Location is on the second floor. Please wear comfortable, but professional clothing to screenings. Casual dress. |
The Blue Nile Lotuses, Inc. is a nonprofit, charitable and educational women's community-service organization. The Lotus organization was established in 2001 and its members have provided over 300 volunteer hours to local nonprofit programs and agencies! We are dedicated to four areas of service to low-income/working-poor girls and women-of-color, especially --but not limited to-- women and girls in the African Diaspora.We address Personal Development, Cultural and Fine Arts, Skills Development/Job Training and Educational Development/Scholarship. | |
Location of Job: | 155 Tenth Street |
Work Schedule: | Saturdays, 11 AM - 1:30 PM,
1:30 PM - 4:30 PM, or Full Shift

Minimum Age: | 18 |
Bart/Muni Proximity: | 2 blocks from Van Ness Street
Station (METRO), Civic Center
Station (BART) and Market/South Van Ness stops (MUNI/METRO). Walk south
to Mission, then to 10th Street. We're at 155 Tenth Street. (Upstairs) |
