The Allied invasions around the world during World War II were the pivotal events of the 20th Century. Every invasion had its D-Day, a generic term used by military planners to specify the launch date. This is the only museum in the country dedicated to all of the 'D-Days' of the World War II, and to those at home who supported these efforts. The National D-Day Museum celebrates the American spirit, the teamwork, optimism, courage, and sacrifice of the men and women who won World War II and promotes the exploration and expression of these values by future generations.
