Made from size 10 cotton using an easy sc,ch pattern. It could be adapted for Lustersheen yarn for a softer tie.

MATERIALS:
Crochet cotton size 10: 150 yds. desired color
Steel crochet hook size 7
Two safety pins

GAUGE: 5 lps = 1 1/4 inches
5 Rows pat stitch = 1 inch

DIRECTIONS:

Pattern note: Ch 2 to beg each hdc

Row = first hdc.

Row 1: Ch 22, hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in rem ch across, turn. (21)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first hdc {ch 3, sk 1 hdc, sc in next hdc] across, turn. (10 lps)

Row 3: Ch 1, make sc, ch 3 and sc in each lp across, turn. Rep Row 3 until piece measures 25 inches long.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each ch-3 lp across, turn. (10 sc)

Mark each end of Row 4 with a safety pin.

Row 5: Ch 2, hdc in each sc across, turn. Rep Row 5 until piece from safety pins measures 27 inches, fasten off. Weave in loose end.
