McCall's Crochet Bridal Garter Designer: Nancy Hearne © McCall's Crochet CP-0216

McCall's Crochet Bridal GarterPattern Note by Rae French: This pattern can be found in McCall's Crochet, June 1996. McCall's Crochet has been discontinued which is disappointing to many of us. I have had so many requests for this pattern that, upon my request, Primedia Special Interest Publications has given me permission to reprint it here. You may link to this page but please do not copy and distribute this pattern. All copyright laws apply.

The picture is actually the second garter I made from this pattern. The first garter was a gift for Stephanie, a fellow Crochet Partner, who was married in September, 1996. I made Steph's garter using a peach ribbon to match her wedding ensemble. I added Crystal Iris rochaille beads to the last row in place of the picots in the pattern to add flair to the finished product. The effect is breathtaking. To paraphrase Steph's new husband, "like icicles melting in the spring."
