Here are a few programs to look out for in the upcoming week ...

THURSDAY 8 P.M. Spring Break Uncensored, MTV. Yeah, sure it is. Don't worry. You'll have another 136 chances to catch this one during the week.

FRIDAY 8 P.M. The Harry Awards 2001, The History Channel. The History Channel's homage to Hollywood. Esteemed guests review historical films from the previous year and award a "Harry" to the movie that contributed the most to the public's understanding and appreciation of history. The award is named after Herodotus, the Father of History. 13 Days, The Patriot, Gladiator, Men of Honor and U-571 are the nominees. An award show dedicated to historical films? Maybe Comedy Central should honor hysterical films.

SATURDAY 11:30 A.M. Airport, TCM. The movie that launched a decade-long genre -- the disaster film -- and a series of spin-off films (Airport '75, '77 and '79). Not to mention a couple brilliant parodies.

SATURDAY 7 P.M. Palm Springs: Hollywood's Oasis, Travel Channel. No doubt about it, the desert has never had a jewel as majestic as Palm Springs. An oasis of beauty created by old Hollywood, this California desert retreat was all the rage from the '30s to the late '70s. Currently it's experiencing a resurgence in popularity.

SATURDAY 9 P.M. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Concert -- Class of 2001, VH-1. The 2001 induction ceremony and ensuing concert. Live from Cleveland ... cuz, according to Ian Hunter, it rocks.

SATURDAY 9 P.M. Aliens Have Landed, TLC. Delve into the public's obsession with the extraterrestrial. Examine the evidence behind reported cases of alien abduction and the scientific research that suggests other processes are at work.

SUNDAY 9 P.M. True Hollywood Story, E! "H.R. Pufnstuf: The Strange World of Sid & Marty Krofft." Looks at how the creation of H.R. Pufnstuf affected children's television and changed the lives of creators Sid and Marty Krofft. The show only lasted a year, but Sid and Marty created about a half-dozen other programs.

MONDAY-FRIDAY 7 P.M. World's Greatest Magic I-V, FoxFamily. Looks like a fun line-up. On Monday, it's Vegas heavy-hitters, Lance Burton and Siegfried & Roy. On Tuesday, it's yuks with Penn & Teller and the Amazing Jonathan. The fun continues through Friday.

WEDNESDAY 9 P.M. In Search of Blackbeard's Treasure, Discovery. In 1996, Phil Masters was looking for the remains of a Spanish galleon when he stumbled across a treasure of a different kind. In just 20 feet of water lay the wreck of a ship with 18 cannons. Could this be the remains of Blackbeard's flagship?
