| Boy, 5, with gun prompts police alert |
Police in China investigating gunshots in a house found a five-year-old boy playing with a gun.
Neighbours called police in Lanzhou in Gansu Province, reports Xibu Shangbao according to China Daily.
Eight policemen wearing bullet-proof vests found a frightened boy in the courtyard with a pistol in hand.
One officer talked gently with the boy and coaxed him to hand over the gun, which turned out to be no longer loaded.
The boy's father used to work as a security guard for a factory and had brought the pistol home, police said.
