California Poly Pomona
History
202-03:
U.S. History from 1965 to the Present
HOW TO GET STARTED:
- Ideally, if you are registered for this
course, you should fill out the Student Information Form (linked above)
before looking at any of the course materials.
- Since this is a totally on-line course,
*written words* are important! You should read everything on this web site
carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at skpuz@csupomona.edu
- After you have submitted the Student
Information Form, please review the following links in the table above:
- Course Description, Course Objectives,
Course Format, Schedule of Topics, Course Readings, and Student Evaluation links should be read first. These
will give you a good idea about how the course is organized.
- The Internet Resources links to
a web site that I created for a senior Liberal Studies course last winter.
There are links on it to information about the world wide web, e-mail,
etc. that you might find useful.
- The History Sites links to a web
site of U.S. History on-line resources that I created last year as a resource
for all History 202 classes. In addition to a wealth of *good* history
sites, you will find links to Cal Poly Pomona resources and other general
Internet sites.
- The Term Paper Topics link will
not be finalized until after I have had a chance to review all of your
Student Information forms.
- The Class Roster link will contain
general information about all of the students enrolled in this section
of History 202. More information about this can be found in the details
of Week 3's assignment.
- Under the Schedule of Topics,
you will find the weekly assignment for the quarter. Each week's assignments
have a detailed link that includes specific assignments for the week.
Please read it carefully. And please keep in mind that although
this course is on-line, it is *not* self-paced; you will be expected to
keep up with weekly assignments.
- If you wish to drop this course, the History Department secretary, Gayle Savarese,
can sign your drop form. The History Department Office is in Building 94,
Room 343. You may call (909)869-3860 to find out the History Department's
summer office hours.
- If you wish to drop this course after
the first two weeks of class,
please e-mail me at skpuz@csupomona.edu
at your earliest convenience.
- If you wish to add this course, please e-mail me at skpuz@csupomona.edu at your earliest convenience.
I'm very excited about this course and
look forward to our next ten weeks together in cyberspace!
Virtually,
