IGE 223 Evaluation Criteria

Electronic Journal/WWW Writings Project (30%/300 points)

The Electronic Journal/WWW Writings Project should include the following components:

• A cover sheet with the appropriate information about yourself, the course, etc. and a descriptive title.
• Print-outs of at least 6 substantive messages that you posted on the IGE 223 WWWBoard, one for each theme in Ways of Living: Cultural Consciousness and the Environment. These messages should address issues related to the questions posed in the text. They can be about topics that you initiate discussion on or replies to messages from others in the course. Print-outs should be the actual messages that you posted to WWWBoard, approximately once per week.
• A two-page, double-spaced, "type-written" reaction paper. Read over all of your messages to the board; consider them like a journal of your thoughts about environmental issues this quarter. Your reaction paper should be a reflective statement, conclusions on your ideas about cultural consciousness and the environment.
• Arts Events Appendix: Please include one-page reaction papers about each of the two arts events that you attended this quarter. (additional 5%/50 points)
