TILT '99: Technology in Learning & Teaching

Design Effective Faculty Development Programs Workshop

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona
March 13, 1999
Facilitator:
Dr. Susan Kullmann Puz

This workshop examines successful support programs that facilitate faculty use of technology to enhance teaching, learning, and professional development.

This web site provides links to online information about the foundation for faculty instructional technology support at Cal Poly Pomona: Chickering and Gamson's "Seven Principles of Good Practice in Higher Education," as they apply to using technology as a "lever" for facilitating teaching and learning. Links to web sites for two intensive summer institutes illustrate the evolution of one important component of IT support at Cal Poly Pomona. Current active technology faculty development sites are the Faculty Computing Support web site and the IT_Fits (Faculty In-Office Technology Support) program.
